Visual Arts Master Class at the AGNSW

Selected Visual Arts students from Mount St Benedict College (15 girls in Years 7-10) attended a Master Class at the Art Gallery of NSW. Students were chosen for their high performance in art making and/ or studying art.

The girls went on a guided tour through the Gallery to view and engage with specific works and exhibits as a way of stimulating discussion and ideas. Students explored past and current movements to encourage sound critical thinking skills.

The girls then took ideas from their guided gallery tour into the studio space where they were challenged to create pieces that pushed the boundaries of conventional art making practices.
