Principal for a Day

Year 9 student, Naomi gained a greater understanding of the role of school principal as 2016 Student Principal for a Day. Naomi attended meetings with Mrs Pearson, learning how a meeting works and discussed aspects of school life for both students and teachers. She reported there were more meetings, emails and paperwork than she had assumed!

Naomi also addressed the College Assembly in her ‘Principal Address’ focusing on ‘R U OK? Day’, asking the College community to take 5 minutes out of their day to ask someone if they were OK. Naomi noted that while it was good to have a designated day like this – it was important to always look out for and support those in our community.
