MSB students chosen for prestigious STEM Program

Two Year 10 MSB students were recently chosen to be part of the global award winning work experience program GoIT Girls developed by TATA Consultancy Services. Designed to inspire young women into Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, MSB students - Taylor Kueh and Georgina Chan had the opportunity to meet and be mentored by senior executives from the company and their clients who provided insight into the various STEM roles across the businesses.

Now in the fifth year, GoIT Girls focuses on challenging gender stereotypes showcasing women in STEM as role models, broadening student perspectives of IT, building technical skills through coding and enhancing confidence and employability skills.

During the program the girls worked in small groups to find a solution to a technology problem and pitch it to senior IT professionals. Georgina was part of the winning team at GoIT Girls, as part of the prize she was invited by the Woolworths Group to shadow their Information Technology team for a day.
