HSC Visual Art Major Work selected for ART EXPRESS

Congratulations to Mount St Benedict College Year 12 student, Laura O’Connell, whose HSC Major Work has been officially selected for inclusion in ARTEXPRESS 2021, an annual series of exhibitions of exemplary artworks created by NSW Visual Arts students for the 2020 Higher School Certificate examinations.

Laura’s collection of digital drawings ‘Campbell Parade’, is a tribute to the iconic shared experience of the Aussie summer and focuses specifically on Australia’s infamous Bondi Beach. The foundations of the Body of Work is made of playful irony - we all wish to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and work life only to then travel and relax at busy tourist destinations that mirror the same chaos.

Laura’s artwork will be on display at the Hazelhurst Arts Centre, Cowra Regional Art Gallery.
