From Picture Books Pages to the Stage


The Drama students selected their own groups for this task and chose a picture book from the IRC. They began the term learning the various techniques and conventions of the theatre form so they could turn their picture book into a play. Having an age appropriate audience for the performance pieces lifted the energy and connection for the Drama Students. The Year 3's and 4's responded quite vocally throughout the pieces when they were meant to and offered some insightful comments at the end of each of the plays.
