Da Vinci Students Find their Place
The Decathlon is designed to celebrate the academic gifts of Australian youth by providing a stimulating and challenging competition run in the spirit of an Olympic Decathlon. MSB girls competed in teams of 8 across 10 disciplines on the topic of Place. It is a fitting title for gifted students as connection is a major factor in success and happiness in learning.
The teams trained each Friday lunch under expert staff guidance. Places for the competitive team were eagerly sought with up to 60 girls in the training teams.
Congratulations to the girls involved, the Collegeâs results were as follows: Year 7 placed 5th in Science, 6th in Philosophy, 7th in Code Breaking whilst Year 9 was awarded 2nd place in Art and Poetry and 7th in Creative Producers.
