‘Discovering You and Me, to Unite MSB’ - HSC results to be proud of at Mount St Benedict College

The Class of 2023 continued the record of strong HSC results at Mount St Benedict College, Pennant Hills.  Guided by their theme for 2023 of ‘Discovering You and Me, to Unite MSB’, the Year 12 students distinguished themselves through their commitment to their studies and in developing outstanding partnerships with their dedicated teachers. 

One student was on the NESA All Rounders List – Amari Leiva-Urzua. This list acknowledges students who achieved Band 6 results in ten or more of their HSC units (including English). Band 6 indicates a mark of 90 or more.

Jasmine Patanjali achieved the highest known ATAR at the College of 99.50.

76% of the Class of 2023 received early university offers.

The College Principal, Mr Michael Hanratty, congratulated the students on their results. 

“The Class of 2023 distinguished themselves through their commitment to their studies and their support for each other. They leave the College with the confidence, resilience and ingenuity to create a world which respects the other, learns from the new and ever changing, seeks the good and rejoices in the achievements of communities that unite with each other,” Mr Hanratty said. “I congratulate our wonderful staff, and wish the Class of 2023 every success for the future.”

The College received two top placements in the state: 8th place in Legal Studies (Ainslie McNally), 10th place in Society and Culture (Leah Blatchford).

  • TexStyle Exhibition (Textiles and Design Major Project) Selection: Kristy Abrahams.
  • Callback (Dance – Core Performance) Nominations: Abbey Brown, Alexis Chang, Arabella Park, Sienna Vines and Phoebe Wells.
  • Callback (Dance – Major Study Performance) Nominations: Alexis Chang and Arabella Park.
  • OnSTAGE (Drama – Individual Project) Nomination: Summer Flores.
  • Shape Exhibition Nominations:
    Design and Technology: Sarah Ankus, Jaimee Azzi, Audrey Bollington, Alana Castellan and Molly Hall.
    Textiles and Design: Kristy Abrahams.

This year the College had 154 mentions on the Distinguished Achievers List.

An estimated 28% of the eligible cohort achieved an ATAR over 90.
